Jagdeep Singh: The World's Highest-Paid Employee, Earning ₹48 Crore Per Day
Jagdeep Singh, ex-CEO of QuantumScape, earns ₹48 crore daily. A pioneer in EV battery tech, his story inspires global innovation.

Jagdeep Singh, the founder and former CEO of QuantumScape, has emerged as the world's highest-paid employee, earning an astonishing ₹17,500 crore annually, which translates to approximately ₹48 crore per day.

QuantumScape, under Singh's leadership, has been at the forefront of developing advanced solid-state batteries for electric vehicles (EVs). These batteries offer significant improvements over traditional lithium-ion batteries, including higher energy density, faster charging times, and enhanced safety features. The company's innovative approach has attracted substantial investments from industry giants such as Volkswagen and Bill Gates.

Singh's journey to this remarkable achievement is rooted in his strong academic background. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Maryland, a master's degree in computer science from Stanford University, and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. Before founding QuantumScape in 2010, Singh gained valuable experience working at various companies, including HP and Sun Microsystems, and founded other startups, which paved the way for his success in the EV industry.

In February 2024, Singh stepped down as CEO of QuantumScape, handing over the reins to Siva Sivaram, but he remains a member of the company's board. He is currently leading a new venture, operating in stealth mode, as indicated by his X profile handle, @startupjag.

Singh's exceptional earnings highlight the growing importance of technological innovation and sustainable energy solutions in today's economy. His success story serves as an inspiration, showcasing the potential for Indian talent to make significant contributions on the global stage.
